This Study Skills class will use a variety of resources to help teach organization, study techniques and self-advocacy skills while continuing to work on individual study goals. This period will be utilized as an intensive support period and as well as allowing for students to gain more access to the different curriculums such as Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts. We will spend alot of time focusing on reading across the curriculum while incorporating study habits, techniques, and skills that can utilized in all subject areas.
This year we are utilizing an on-line program that will focus on increasing our reading levels and comprehension. Achieve 3000 is the leader in differentiated instruction for more than a decade. Achieve3000® has supported the individuality and potential of every student by reaching them at the level they are on in order to help them reach higher levels of reading and writing proficiency.

Sequencing Projects-
Students are to create a "How to" paragraph utilizing the sequencing words and steps discussed in class. Thier ideas must include at least 5 steps! Students must bring a prop, poster, or visual in when presenting their project to class. Students chose their topic in class Tuesday. They will pick which day they would like to present. This is a fun way to end the nine week period!
